Infrared heaters can be used both outdoors and indoors. The most common places where they are used are patios, sunrooms, garages, hallways, and any workspace where direct, targeted heat is needed.

The selection of a heater with the appropriate power depends on the height of the room where the heater will be installed and the ambient air temperature. It can be installed on both walls and ceilings.

There are three different types of emitters. TA-type emitters have an IP44 protection rating, IHS-type emitters have an IP54 protection rating, and TA-R-type emitters have a switch that allows the device to operate at one-quarter and one-half power.

The selection of a heat emitter with the appropriate output depends on the ceiling height of the room where the infrared emitter will be installed and the ambient air temperature—they can be installed on both walls and ceilings.

Infrared rays do not heat the air, but rather the objects or people they strike. During prolonged use, both the radiant heater itself and the heated objects release heat into the room’s air.

Installation instructions for the infrared heater:

When installing the ceiling, leave a 30-centimeter gap from the wall; when installing it on the wall, leave a 15-centimeter gap from the ceiling.

Important Information – The unit should be installed at least 1.8 meters above the ground or floor; there must be a minimum of 1 meter of free space. Also, ensure that windows and doors do not open closer than 1 m to the infrared heater.

Selecting the appropriate power rating depends on many factors — installation height, air temperature, and the duration of exposure to the radiator (for shorter periods, a higher capacity is appropriate; for longer periods, a lower capacity is appropriate).

For example, an installation height of 2 m, an air temperature of +15°C, and a 2-hour occupancy period require approximately 500–750 W/m².
